“Alright, sunshine," he throws the towel over his shoulder. "What brought me the pleasure of seeing you tonight?” His hand absentmindedly raises to tug at a loose string on the sleeve of your sweater. When it provides resistance, he releases it, squeezing his hand as it drops to his side.
“You just inhaled it,” you tease, staring at his hand, suddenly remembering your worries from earlier. “But I, um…Jenna gave me the day off tomorrow. So I thought I’d come see you, I guess.” You’re too nervous to ask if he’s occupied, if he even wants you here.
But your answer was, seemingly, exactly what he wanted to hear. “I’m glad I’m the man on your mind,” Valko teases, removing his glasses to rub at his eyes. He keeps them off, and you wish he wouldn't.
Or: Valko has an important proposal due at 9 A.M., but when the Hunter he's in love with shows up at his door the night before with his favorite chocolate milk, it just so happens you help him more than you expect. (My interpretation of what the story could have been for the card art where he's wearing glasses and holding your ankle :P)

"You got me a croissant?" Cheekbones asks, looking a little bewildered, but - pleased? Bucky hopes he's not imagining that, fuck.
"Yes." He replies, and promptly blushes.
"I - thanks." Cheekbones smiles softly. "You can, uh - you can sit, if you want. If you've not got plans."
Bucky is pretty sure that the hot guy at the group tables lives in the library. One day he decides to find out.

No, maybe not. It was cold and snowy, but that didn’t make it winter time. It was late, though. Late in the war, not in the year, and he scratches the top of his head as he thinks. ‘44? ‘45?
He could probably do a Google search and find out. The thought occurs to him out of nowhere, and for a second he stops, questioning what a google is before he remembers, smacking his metaphorical forehead.
Like he said, it takes a few days.
