“It’s fine,” he says, almost casual, save for the brokenness of his voice. “It’s all under control.”
“You’re bleeding out in the middle of an abandoned mining outpost surrounded with corpses while staring at nothing,” she snaps, clinging to her composure by her very fingernails. “I wouldn’t call this under control.”

Summary
The TARDIS recruits a rescue team for the Doctor after the Judoon take her away, and the Master really shouldn't go. Particularly if it includes having to hang around a freakish temporal monstrosity like Jack Harkness. Then again, what does he have to lose? He could die, sure, but that means nothing when he always (always always always) comes back, whether he wants to or not.
Turns out the Doctor is determined to save the Master, too. He hates every second of it. Really, he absolutely does, she's very cruel and horrible, everything's her fault, and there's nothing good about spending time with the Doctor, at all. Ever.

Summary
In a rare branch of the quantum multiverse, a ghost ship gets the chance to fulfill a quixotic mission. A misfit crew rebuilds themselves like a Fleet of Theseus. A pair of star-crossed would-be captains do their best to ruin everything for everyone around them. Dale Volker, the nicest radio astronomer outside the Kuiper Belt and founding member of the Lost House of the Lucian Alliance, works like heck to keep everyone alive.
Hostile information landscapes, the specter of mind control, and xenogenes that confer extrasensory perception make it hard to know anything for sure. Only one thing is certain. No one smokes in space.
And.
This week, on Ad Noc: “I think the captain may be mistaken about the identity of his cosmic lover,” Ginn offered.

"And what game would you suggest?"
Her words aren't even slurred — that's a good sign, right? Probably. It's not like Johnny's a doctor. Maybe she's got brain damage and it's killing her. Maybe Johnny's got brain damage and it's killing him. Maybe they're about to get jettisoned into space like garbage. Maybe —
"A question game," he tells her confidently, shoving all those thoughts aside. "You know, like kids play."

Summary
Right now, he’s watching her as she closes her eyes, ducking her head as she tries to come up with the words. And probably, he should say that she doesn’t need to tell him. It’s none of his business. But she’s been following him for weeks and he thinks that he’s owed an explanation, at least. And a real one, not something that’s easy to swallow but has no truth in it.
“The truth is,” she says eventually, “that you – uh. Well.”
She sighs. And then, like a miracle, opens her eyes and looks at him.
“You look like someone I used to care about very much,” she says. “That’s all.”
Or,
The Master uses the Chameleon Arch.
