“You stay with me now, Will.” Hannibal urges, placing him back down so that he can continue compressions. He whispers please with each pump of his hands against Will’s chest and breathes life and love back into Will’s lungs. “You stay with me. You can do that, I know you can.”
Hannibal pushes and pushes and begs and goes lightheaded with the lack of air, but he cannot stop because Will still won’t wake up.
_________________Hannibal finds himself on the beach and nearly loses Will along the way.

Summary

After an argument, Hannibal returns home to find his empath trembling beneath the weight of imagined revulsion, already attempting to carve himself into something smaller, quieter, easier to love.

Summary
Hannibal decides not to frame Will for his murders. However, that complicates things in ways Hannibal didn't predict. After recovering from encephalitis, Will disappears. Hannibal doesn't handle it well.
When the bodies of killers start showing up around the country, Hannibal takes notice. And when Will finally returns, he's not the same person that left Hannibal behind.

Summary
Soon, Will's blinks grow longer and his cheek hits the snow again, settling into it as if it was the softest pillow he had ever slept on. Hannibal watches as little shivers rack his body and the doctor has to physically force his eyes off him.

Will's encephalitis is getting worse, but Hannibal realizes he can't let Will go just yet.
