    Summary

    Palpatine underestimates the damage caused on Darth Vader's mind after he electrocutes him one time; expecting his apprentice to bounce back to his duties as usual, he sends him on a mission. Disoriented and not remembering where he was heading with clarity, Darth Vader panics momentarily and crashes on a small planet on possibly the worst possible time, which doesn't help with the brain damage at all. He forgets how he got there and starts walking in circles in hopes for a way out.

    The rebel base on planet is in for a surprise.

    Vader is not where he should be—well, at least not where his master wants and believes him to be. This is of course blasphemy. He submitted a false flight plan with a surety that the Emperor would discover his deception eventually and that eventually there would be consequences for those actions that tasted of copper blood and felt icy hot in his veins and nerves and looked like dry desert lightning falling from the sky. Vader’s scarred skin would be carved with more jagged symbols of his sins. His master would wonder why Vader had lied—he would wonder why his apprentice had deviated from his flight path to the Tamar Sector, where yet more rebels were in desperate need of enlightenment and instead went to an unexplored portion of wild space—so wild it was nameless. His master would wonder, and Vader would have no answer for him, and there would be consequences. Vader is at peace with those consequences.
