Summary
Dante's convinced that the best part of returning from Hell is getting to eat pizza again. Seeing his favorite nephew is an added bonus.
When their impromptu family reunion ends up going far worse than he'd have liked, Dante quickly realizes that Nero isn't as fine as he thought the kid would be. His behavior is uncannily close to how Dante acted after he was forced to kill Nelo Angelo.
Talking things out was never Dante's strong suit but he figures he's gotta do something before he loses the family he'd just put back together.

Nico's Notes»Clingy Demon Thing (Heat?)
I've never heard anything about any demons suddenly getting all clingy or needing constant affection before, but Nero's persistently hanging off of Kyrie and randomly rubbing my shoulders while I'm trying to work. He swears up and down that he's not in heat but that's the closest thing I can find that matches what's going on with him. My daddy's old notes don't have anything useful, so we're gonna have to ask the devil directly. But Nero's clueless, and his daddy and Dante still ain't back from hell, so I guess I'm just gonna have to get a bit creative with my sources. Good thing Lady gave me her number back at Red Grave.
I'm gonna laugh if he's in heat.

After the Qliphoth disaster Dante finds himself once more in hell, this time however with a certain someone as company. Having to redo that ordeal with Vergil around should mean it will be an easy trip, right? After all, there's nothing that could possibly challenge both Sons of Sparda at the same time!
Only, things are more complicated than they seem. Between his own hangups, a brother he sometimes barely knows and the underworld's sinister workings, Dante should maybe start wondering if he'll make it back home at all.

“Stupid.” Nero muttered to himself, banging a fist against the shower wall.
What did he think was going to happen? That Vergil would look up and say “Welcome back son. How was the job? How are you? Do you want to talk about how you have been, or anything about yourself?” Utterly ridiculous.
‘Why would he say anything to me? He wants nothing to do with me.’When Nero is seriously injured after a demon hunting job, it is up to Dante and Vergil to work together to save him. Dante has to help find a cure for his nephew, and deal with his emotionally constipated brother. Vergil, while trying to cure Nero, does his best to avoid talking about his feelings. Nero tries to figure out his place in his messed up family while dying.
