The world is cruel, and you're tired. Seeking escapism in fiction to force the world to be more bearable. Life hasn't been easy, and instead of facing what you already know, that desire to project onto and heal a fictional character's trauma makes dealing with your own past tangible. This is the story of a modern person finding themselves in the world of Faerun.
"Cold with sweat, Ophelia forced herself to control her breathing and thumped her head back down, surprised to find her head cradled in a palm rather than on the hard ground. Astarion smiled a little guiltily, his swift repositioning fairly obvious. This was… manageable."

I loved this way back when on FF. Thank you for preserving it. Hell I was a young teen and now I'm in my 30s and I regret my Hetalia phase but this kind of fic just... sticks.
Sometimes authors delete, abandon, or just otherwise stories get lost. I'm glad this one isn't gone. -
