It was a confusing feeling. The moment in between realms she had been given the opportunity to see. The brief pause in time, as though everything had stopped, yet never stopped moving. She could feel the colors washing over her skin, draining and replacing her own, flooding her mind with a feeling all too bright to see, but all too dark to understand.
It was a feeling one could never truly put into words no matter how hard they tried, the feeling of everything and nothing at all. It was a feeling she had missed her first time around, too preoccupied chasing Owlbert to truly think or feel it. Yet she had missed it so, so much.

“I will be married to a handsome prince, and we shall live in a magic sugar castle together,” Tori reads off, looking amused. “Six year old me had some pretty big goals.”
Trina looks significantly less amused, waving her hand, rolling her eyes. “Yeah, yeah, whatever. Just read what you said you’d do if that didn’t happen. Which it didn’t.”
“Okay,” Tori squints at the note. “If this doesn’t happen, I have to be...Trina’s assistant...for a...month,” Tori looks horrified. “No!” Tori protests, shaking her head. “No, what the hell? I was six when I wrote this!”
“Boo hoo! You were the one who said that you’d have to keep your word no matter what! So suck it up, Tori!”
Jade watches, amused. Tori’s life sounds like it’s going to be absolute hell for a whole month. Though, while Jade loves to watch Tori suffer, she’s also a little annoyed about it. Because Tori is going to be suffering for a whole month from Trina’s doing, and not Jade’s. There’s not going to be any time for Jade to make Tori suffer.
So, in a moment of impulse, Jade leans forwards, making eye contact with Trina.

update again its been like 2 years since i found this fic and i forgot i had this bookmark. i finally finished it. its so peak actually i love them so much. um. so yeah this is still a formative memory just for the record!! i just never finished reading it until now because adhd i guess idk lmao. no clue if this will ever be actually finished but im happy with what we've got regardless and i can take this as the ending if its never technically completed. so you should totally read it even though its technically missing the last 5 chapters. in case anyone ever reads this. who am i talking to

Jade doesn’t even bother to fully climb into Tori’s room. She rests her head on the windowsill, watching as Tori turns to give her a look, arching an eyebrow at her.
“Come on,” Jade says, beaming at the woman. “Let’s get sushi.”
“You’re paying,” Tori says back, grinning. It makes Jade’s heart flutter a little. “See you in a sec?”
“As always!” Jade shouts as she drops back to the ground.
And in the five seconds it takes her to get back to her car, Jade West thinks about kissing Tori Vega.
