The older boy came into view with the candle light. At first she had thought it was just him, but she realized sooner that he was carrying a little bundled wrap. He was carrying the younger one. The shadow- the boy- lingered by the lantern light, and she froze solid as she saw his eyes turn to the open door.
“He is sick,” The older boy whispered. “I-I don’t know what to do.”
