Summary
When Thorin has Bilbo pinned to the rampart, Bilbo confesses that he can prove to Thorin where his loyalty lay. He pulls the bead he had been delicately crafting over the course of the journey. Thorin freezes up and slowly pulls out of the dragon sickness. Bilbo escapes from the wall and is ready to just... Stop. But Thorin agrees to provide Bard and Thranduil what they ask for. He knows he must prove to Bilbo how sorry he is for his misbehavior. Thorin publicly apologizes to Bilbo, offering the most serious of punishments, but is quickly forgiven by a most in love hobbit.
