I he could save even more, he was willing to go back, suffering anything that was needed so he could get the future he desired for Shiro and Keith, because he didn't care about himself at all, he didn't care about having to comply to stupid time travel rules, jumping between timelines, it didn't matter in the end if he could get what he wanted. And he was not alone, Allura had given him enough to work with, so he was going to get this fixed.
