Simply put, Xiao is forced to live under humans and obey human rules. Now he has to pay rent like a normal person. So, he starts streaming video games.

Although, their pace is lugged from battling against the frozen ice lands along the countless resident Hilichurls and stray Fatui agents. On this journey, however, Aether finds opportunity to learn a few more information about Xiao.
The most surprising one of all, is that sometimes, Xiao says something completely unexpected it surprises Aether,
“When the snow gets thick enough, we can eat it.”
Xiao can be rather eccentric on occasions.
Although, he attributes to the fact that he’s been reclused in an Inn in Liyue for the better part of most years.
Aether raises a brow at him,
“... You can’t be serious, right?”
