Companies always try to be hip to appeal to young people nowadays.(Or, an exhausted Meng Yao mixes up Grindr and the pizza app, but a large vegetarian shows up on his doorstep anyway.)

He had been at Lan Huan’s bachelor party, he remembers foggily, which makes his choice of ending the night with a drunken fuck both understandable and pathetic, considering he’d been hopelessly smitten with Lan Huan since junior high. Meng Yao silently prays he didn’t pick someone who runs in his same social circles, or someone he is actually friendly with, because he would have no choice but to ghost them.
