Summary
Lucifer has struggled with depression for decades. The fight against Adam and the exorcists, rebuilding the hotel, and healing Alastor left him mentally and physically exhausted. He reaches his breaking point–quite literally in the middle of the night while wandering the hotel. Unbeknownst to him, he is observed by a curious shadowy entity.

Alastor kept his back to the king, knowing full well how pale he looked.
“You do realize that’s not going to go away on its own, right? It will continue to eat away at you, depleting you more and more of your energy until you feel like you’re burning alive. I bet you already feel like that half the time, don’t you?” Lucifer continued on conversationally, as if he were talking about the weather. He poured himself a cup of coffee as well. “Hmmm…. Let’s see.” Lucifer said, taking a sip. And without further forewarning, he pushed himself between the counter and in front of Alastor, placing his hand right on his chest.

Summary
A series of fics that can be read seperately but follow upon one another and start with Aizawa's and Yamada's lives after they graduate UA High School and go their independant paths in life. While Yamada decides to live, work and study abroad for a while Aizawa stays in Japan, working as an underground hero. Troubled with what happened to Shirakumo during their high school days as well as Yamda's absence Aizawa turns to unhealthy coping mechanisms including isolation and self medication. With the help of friends Aizawa fights homelessness and drug addiction and confronts his feelings for Yamada.

Concerned, he and Hizashi decide to dig a little deeper, opening up their home to teen in the process.

He’d scoured online forums and websites looking for clarification, but he was stuck in a constant loop of stressing about his identity and packing it away for later and he was getting tired of it. He wanted to know, to be sure of himself, to feel comfortable, and deep down, he wanted somebody to understand. He had thought the hardest thing he'd have to do at UA would be to transfer into the hero course. He hadn't expected all the things his first year would bring.
