"I miss you," he says quietly.
The words land soft but heavy, like snow piling on a branch.
Jimin doesn't respond immediately. When Jeongguk looks up, Jimin's expression is open. Vulnerable in a way he rarely allows himself to be.
"I'm right here," Jimin says.
"I know. That's not—" Jeongguk struggles to find the words. "I miss us. The way we used to be. Before everything got so... complicated."
Jimin's throat moves as he swallows. "We're not complicated."
"We're not not complicated."
A ghost of a smile crosses Jimin's face. "That's the most Jeongguk thing you've ever said."
"Is that bad?"
"No." Jimin's voice is soft. "It's just you."
In which Jimin and Jeongguk spend fifteen years orbiting each other until they finally stop running. But the distance between them never quite closes because no matter how many times they drift apart, they always, always find their way back.

Summary
Jungkook has always been terrible at expressing his feelings. Too awkward to express affection and his body panicking whenever anyone showed any sort of affection towards him. Unfortunately for him, Jimin seems to have chosen him as the receiver of his overflowing affection causing Jungkook’s heart to beat out of his chest, his hands to go clammy and his words to come out in all the wrong order. He feels scared at this uncontrollable biological reaction his body has to Jimin, causing him to push him away and respond to him with cruelty in attempts to protect the lies he tells himself and pretends to believe: he doesn’t like men, he’s not gay and most of all he does not have feelings for Jimin.
He thought everyone knew him being mean to Jimin was a joke, to him it was obvious that Jimin was his favourite hyung even though he treated him like he hated him but when the members were asked on a variety show whether Jungkook likes Jimin almost all of them responded with NO leaving him confused and upset.

“So, are you ready, Jimin-sshi?” he asked, and flung a chewing gum in the air, catching it with his mouth as if he was a bloody seventeen-year-old. Jimin watched him, the wolf-like smile, and the bobbing jaw, and suddenly he felt something that was pretty close to dread.
The fuck?“Yeh,” he answered, and his voice, the traitorous thing, choked right there on the first syllable.

Summary
Jimin had no doubt: Jungkook would be an amazing father. He’d support his children and shower them with love and appreciation but would also set up boundaries and encourage them to always try their best. From his own experience Jimin knew how it felt to be the person Jeon Jeong-guk cared about, to have all of his attention. There was no way he wouldn’t be the most loving and dedicated parent ever. His kids would surely be his top priority.
