Summary
Rowan Shepard, Savior of Elysium, has had her eye on her long time friend, Jeff Moreau, for years but thinks he's not interested. After an awkward first night and a conversation that should have happened first, they decide to say screw it and make themselves happy for once.
The flight student keeps an eye out for something or someone that can give the young lovers what's missing, as both have certain proclivities that require a helping hand. He may have found it in one William Cross, a friend of Charles Saracino who was first introduced to Rowan at an event the politician had at his home. But who is he, and why does it seem that when he sometimes looks at the pair of them the man cannot hide the pain that flickers in augmented eyes?

Summary
It is shortly after the end of Mass Effect 2.
The crew of the Normandy SR-2 has dispersed, most fading into shadows to prepare for the coming of the Reapers.
Some, such as Commander Shepard and their pilot, Lieutenant Jeff "Joker" Moreau, have been taken into custody by the Systems Alliance. The former is put on trial for, among other things, the destruction of the Alpha Relay and being responsible for the deaths of over 300,000 Batarians; the latter is in custody for, at the moment, being absent without official leave and working with a terrorist organization. While Shepard is angering people for keeping silent, both sides are tugging at the one who might be humanity's greatest pilot to guilt trip them into seeing reason. And he is having none of it...
Or is he?

Summary
In hindsight, he was sure that Stede didn’t mean that he was allowed to go through everything, but if the boxes and trinkets being returned slightly out of place bothered him, he never said.
Today’s object of focus was a beautiful wooden box that usually lived near where Stede washed in the morning. The box was so well made and so well cared for that it almost felt like stone when he touched it, with not a single dent of flaw to be seen.
Ed carried it carefully to the couch, setting it on the low table in front of him as he opened the lid. There wasn’t a creak, a groan, nothing but silent anticipation as the lid opened and was held in place by golden hinges.
Inside was nearly a half dozen bottles of what appeared to be oil. If this box had been Ed’s, he would have had some idea what small bottles of oil might be used for.
It wasn’t Ed’s, though. It was Stede’s.
