Summary
With Lumine upsetting the Raiden Shogun's plan for eternity and joining forces with the Resistance, Inazuma is as vulnerable as it may ever get—so the Tsaritsa sends Scaramouche to retrieve Baal's Gnosis and kill Lumine... But Scaramouche's plan to defeat Baal takes a turn for the worse and he's taken prisoner—not after being publicly outed as a divine failure, though.
Rumors of an imprisoned, failed god reach the Resistance, and they quickly enact a plan: free the aforementioned god, recruit them to the side of the Resistance, and then fight Baal with a god of their own. It's a plan that reeks of desperation, and Kazuha has little faith in its success—until he comes face-to-face with the imprisoned god.
They knew each other, once, and Kazuha has enough faith in what they once were to believe that maybe, just maybe, this plan has a chance.
[TLDR: In which Scaramouche is a failed god with a grudge, the Resistance is out of options, and the fate of Inazuma rests in the hands of love.]
