His Majesty’s Coroner Mr Edmund Simpson’s weakness for desperate lovers is in intensity only rivalled by his dislike for coincidences of any kind. What a shame that he should’ve stumbled into a romance novel to investigate a couple of murders which just happened to have befallen our favourite couple.
