Summary
June 27, 1994 marked the fateful day when Madam Poppy Pomfrey took her final breaths on the edge of the Forbidden Forest, having been attacked by rogue werewolves and left for dead. The entire wizarding world grieves for the beloved matron, including one dour Potions Master who wouldn't have called her a friend, per se, in spite of the fact that's what they certainly were.
Now, Hogwarts needs a new matron, and Dumbledore selects (to Snape's complete dissatisfaction) a Healer so juvenile, she could not possibly possess the experience - the discernment - required for such a role. However, as he will slowly learn, all while falling in love with her, Rebecca Kakudō has an extraordinary gift for healing.
Some might even say she was predestined for it.

Summary
Six years after the Battle of Hogwarts, Severus Snape has finally found peace, living a quiet life far away from the public eye.
