Vox looked more relaxed, his shoulders slumped, not looking like several needles had run through his body anymore. All the sounds coming from his head slowly stopped, and his hands were nowhere near the flask and whiskey.
He was hesitant. He wasn’t completely sane, but he wasn’t crazy either.
With great difficulty, he raised his head higher, now seeing Vox more clearly.
"You know," he said, lowering his voice so as not to hurt Vox’s non-existent ears. "It is... almost admirable to see you standing even without one leg. Despite how injured you are, you still didn’t drop dead!"

Summary
Thor's dipped more than a toe into the local kink scene but is still relatively new and full of enthusiasm. Loki's nearly burned out, jaded from years of selfish Dominants and bad experiences. After falling into Thor's arms at a kink convention, Loki has to decide if trust is something he's still able to give, and if love is something he'll ever deserve.
This is a prequel to my Thorki fic The Kennel Club. It's just as ridiculous, but this story is focused entirely on Loki and Thor. Steve and Bucky are major side characters, Darcy is a minor side character. It's set about six years earlier and is the origin story of the dynamics that are firmly in place in that story. This should stand on its own, but there are plenty of callbacks. It will definitely be more enjoyable if you read that one first.
Much like its sequel, not every character pairing or act is tagged, but honestly if you're cool with Thorki I assume we're good.

Alastor stared death in the face. As long as you never get the satisfaction of seeing me break, I don’t care what happens, he thought.
But he felt raw and broken.
It was poetic that, in the end, the two rivals had succeeded in dragging each other to the brink of insanity.
If only Alastor could find the humor in that. If only he could feel anything at all.
Or, Alastor’s plan wasn’t meant to be pleasant. Unfortunately, he had misunderstood Vox’s intentions all those years ago and was thoroughly unprepared to deal with the direction his imprisonment took him. When Lucifer had met Lilith, the human woman turned sinner had told him he was beautiful, that he was how he was supposed to be, despite Lucifer believing he had been made wrong when he was created with female genitals rather than male. Lucifer barked a laugh. “Woah! No handsies!” The seraph gently tugged on the deer angel's hand. “I don't know where it goes. I just learned how to do portals to farther away places!”
“How far away is this?” Alastor tried to see the environment through the portal, but it was merely a room of red furniture with eyes that almost looked alive. Nobody was in the room, but the lights were on. His ear twitched as he heard the soft sounds of music come through the portal.
Lucifer hummed. “Well, I actually don't know. I tried to go to Earth, but I kind of messed up, so… now it goes… wherever that is.”
“It almost looks like Hell.”
