Summary
Professor Charles Xavier is thirty-two years old when he meets his Sentinel, and as a credit to his half of the subspecies, he still manages to finish the seminar, run through a credible Q&A session, thank the Dean for the invitation to lecture as a guest at the Yale School of Medicine, before finally fleeing the theatre to find the nearest bathroom.
While he's busy throwing up into a toilet, he dimly hears the door to the bathrooms opening, then getting locked, and then someone is awkwardly patting him on the back, and Charles knows rather than sees that the Sentinel is conscientiously offering him tissues to wipe his mouth.
Maybe not a bastard, then.

He remembers this.
First class train carriage, on the trans-Canada route, the brass fittings and the casual luxury, the discreet, polite staff, Charles' red, pursed mouth as he surveys the wine list - his memory. There had only been disappointment waiting for them across the border, but the journey had been pleasant: Erik likes trains; loves the thrumming continuous sync of machine-work, the hydraulics, the metal on every side, under his palms, overhead, beneath his feet.

At long last, the furious tremors eased, leaving Loki drenched in sweat and barely conscious. He slid off Thor’s now softening length and was then spewed against him, a puppet with his strings cut. A God who had been worshiped. A Man who had been… Redeemed. Hollowed out by too many horrors, too much death, and refilled by a love he had so fiercely denied, cradled by hands which adorned his neck like jewels. Not to hurt—never to hurt. For a fraction of a second, everything stilled and faded, the Aesir glamour bleeding away, revealing the enchanting beauty of the icy blue of the frost giants. Thor blinked, uttered stunned to silence, struck by awe so deep it reached his core and set him aflame.

Or: Everyone is saved and during their first Christmas together, Thor convinces Loki to venture in the deep forests of Norway with him in search of a Kingly gift for Tony Stark and his flashy party for Christmas. Things do not go as planned when they encounter a dangerous plant that unleashes a thick pollen.
