Guard squinted. "Why?"
"Cause…" They sighed, twisting again to meet their gaze in such a way that now Cook was kneeling beside them, and their knees were poking just a tiny bit into Guard's thigh.
"…you're the only one I trust to hear this."

Cook, Engineer, and Captain, who were all already there, stared at them with conflicting emotions—concern, confusion, maybe a bit of disdain? Guard crossed their arms. Whatever they believed wasn't of any concern to them… unless it gave them a motive to go around killing crewmates.
"What are you all looking at?" They growled, but their voice was husky and broken, like they hadn't spoken in years, and overall very unintimidating.
Cook smiled and waved both gloved hands quickly. "Nothing!!" It was exclaimed at the same time that Engineer bluntly noted, "You don't seem all that there."
