“What’s up Susan?” Kate asked, smiling around a mouthful of pasta.
“Would you like to go out with me some time?” The widow grinned, a little bashful as she pushes a strand of her hair behind her ear. “We can have some drinks at a dive bar a few blocks down before we leave.”
The archer slowly places the spoonful of pasta down onto her plate. “Sorry Susan, but I actually have a girlfriend."
Susan pouts, though not too upset about the rejection. With a curious look, she asked. “Who?”
Yelena sees the cogs turning in Kate’s head, and the mischievous glint in her eyes as their eyes met for a second, before they return to Susan. The archer’s lips growing into a smirk.
“Yelena.”

Kate flips the card to its back, a string of cypher symbols that paralleled those on the duct tape.
“He lies still.” She says, fleeting realisation dawning in her eyes.
“Excuse me?” Bucky raised a brow.
“The riddle.” Kate frowns, eyebrows pinched. “The killer is saying our dear district attorney is hiding something.”

After her 2 years Hawkeye training stint on the West Coast, being part of the Young Avengers, and a crazy multi-universe battle because of a tin man with a green hood, Kate Bishop is finally back in New York City. There is a new serial killer making their rounds and its up to Kate to investigate- with some luck, she can call in some favours from the other heroes of new York to fight this new villain that haunts minds.
