Now though, Pearl was feeling crazy. It had been weeks, if not months, since she last felt the thrill of a good hunt.
Pearl was also lost. She didn’t know where she was or what direction she was heading in, but she didn’t care.
”We should eat.” Said the voice in her head.
Pearl realised she was also hungry, even if she didn’t want to let her be right. But it’s not like she could do anything about it! She didn’t hear any animals near her, and no edible plants in sight.
Then she saw a stone structure at the edge of her horizon. Humans? Maybe. She wasn’t sure, but it was her best bet. So she started walking, hoping for any trace of life.

Summary
What if only one of Scott, Owen, Pyro and Shelby was explicitly revealed at the skirmish in the castle in episode 3?
The vampires whose cover was not blown are faced with the challenge of hiding amongst a town that is now far more aware of them, while they form new relationships the humans they couldn't while at the castle, and their fangs may escape who they found in canon to search for new targets.
Also Pearl's a full werewolf this time around, because that's fun.

Summary
Pearl knows monsters. She’s seen real creatures of the night up close and personal, even killed a decent number of them. Vampires? That would be an entirely different category of monster, entirely different category of foe.
She shakes off the odd sense of doom, and follows Cleo back home.

Summary
Pearl grabs Cleo’s hand rubbing her thumb on the back of theirs in soothing motion “We’ll deal with it together, especially with 7 humans, they could be trouble” Pearl says in a tone that says she plans to deal with said trouble by getting into scrap. Cleo can’t help but smirk a little at Pearl’s confidence. It’s unfortunately earned. Pearl is by far the better fighter out of the two. Even as a human she was formidable, being a vampire had only enhanced that. Cleo couldn’t help but find it charming. “They should be near the Crypt beacon, so we should confront them there. See if we can talk them out of here before dealing with trouble your way my love” Cleo said pulling Pearl to the door. That got a giggle out of Pearl which made Cleo smile.

The survivors of Oakhurst are pulled back by a strange spell but something's not ri-i-ight, and the two starter vampires are not who they are supposed to be.
Due to what has come out about Avidmc and Marm1ade this fic will be on hiatus until I decide if it would appropriate to continue it. I do have other fics in works behind the scenes and this is not the end of vampires SMP writing for me.
