Summary
Rio Vidal (aka Death) is bored of her role shepherding mortals to the afterlife and finds a new and dangerous distraction in the form of a powerful but unstable witch.
Beginning in Salem-era USA, this story is inspired by the line in Agatha All Along (said by Jennifer Kale in episode 8) that Agatha and Rio met "over corpses". It references the flashback to Salem in WandaVision where Agatha kills her coven, and then continues from that jumping-off point to explore how Agatha and Rio met, bonded, and fell in love.
The story starts off from Rio's POV and follows her as she helps Agatha learn how to use her powers and at the same time falls in love with a mortal and experiences the trappings of human emotions. It explores the Agatha/Rio backstory which was hinted at in Agatha All Along, and takes the reader on a wild ride through history with Agatha and Rio, to the time of the show and beyond.

Vi rolled her eyes as Caitlyn followed her into the bathroom, whirling on her the second the door closed.
“What the fuck is your deal? Thought it might be fun to slum it for the night with the gutter trash who rescued you out there? You’re welcome, by the way.”
“No, I–” Caitlyn made a noise of frustration, face scrunching up, and then she was really fuckin’ close.
Vi held her breath, not wanting to break the weird fucking moment.
“You’re infuriating,” Caitlyn breathed, and Vi tried - and failed - not to shiver when warm breath ghosted over her lips.
“Yeah, well–” Vi started to snark back…and then Vi’s night was officially the weirdest she’d had in a while, because Caitlyn Kiramman, conservative politician’s daughter, was kissing her like she was fucking starving and Vi was an all-you-can-eat buffet in the desert.
