The corpos may have cracked, but the system hasn’t collapsed. After the destruction of Mikoshi, Arasaka’s empire shrank—its secrets dragged into the light. Militech rose to fill the power vacuum, backed by NUSA brass and corporate alliances too deep to untangle. Zetatech replaced Arasaka storefronts. Netwatch tightened the leash on the Net. Biotechnica kept feeding the city, no questions asked.
Dogtown opened for business. The Blackwall started whispering.
Gangs shifted too. Maelstrom disappeared from the headlines but not from the streets—hiding in Northside, experimenting with new tech and worse ideas. The Tyger Claws hold their turf, bracing for war with 6th Street. The Mox expand, Valentinos shrink, and the Animals scatter like stray dogs.
Night City’s still here. Bleeding neon. Breathing crime. Preaching progress.
Amidst the chaos, a few edgerunners carve out their own story—fighting for family, revenge, and whatever scraps of humanity they can still salvage from the wreckage.
This is 2078. After a legend fades, the city keeps running.
