Summary
Carol Aird has just separated from her husband and is getting ready for a new chapter in her life. She works at a theatre as a director along with her friend, Abby Gerhard, and her ex-husband, Harge. Getting ready to direct "Anna Karenina", a young actress named Therese Belivet is suggested for the part. And even if Carol can't see it, this collaboration will change her life.
(Warning: Please know before you read this that Therese's character is very different from how she is in the book and in the movie. Also, Carol and Therese are both a few years older than they are in the book.)
