Alyssa Targaryen has never been particularly good at holding her tongue. Unfortunately, accusing the queen of poisoning her own children against the heir to the Iron Throne proves to have consequences.
Banished to Oldtown, Alyssa expects nothing worse than a slow death by boredom beneath the shadow of the Hightower. She wants no part in her family's ambitions, no part in the greens or the blacks, and certainly no part in the war gathering on the horizon.
History, however, has never cared much for what Targaryen daughters want.
