One of the best Bellamort stories I've ever read. I'm completely in love with this portrayal of Voldemort. It's canon-compliant and impressively thorough, despite being a single 20k-word chapter. Everything about Bellamort is perfectly condensed here. If you're new to the ship, start with this one.

A deeply compelling alternate universe with a fresh, original take on the Bellamort ship. The writing is intoxicating and addictive, pulling you into a spiral of shock and anguish. This version of Voldemort is perhaps the darkest imaginable—cruel, unhinged, and terrifyingly human. The story pushes your moral compass to its limits, making you feel pity, however fleeting, for a raping, killing, murdering monster. Just like Bellatrix, the reader is trapped and forced to see through Voldemort's obsessive, warped, and deeply disturbed lens. A true masterpiece.

Vader flinched, the voice as clear as a bell yet as foreign as the icy vacuum of space. He found himself frozen in place, the bulk of his hefty frame suddenly unbearable. Inside his chest, he felt the searing fingers of remorse and the scalding flames of rage warring for control.
Against better judgment, he shifted to turn around. Against better judgment, he let down his guard and ignored unclipping his lightsaber. He knew the face he would find before he saw it, but he was still not prepared for the wave of emotion that spilled forth as he came face to face with his own ghosts. This one, he had expected long dead and buried.
“Padmé,” he gasped, but the voice that came out was blunt and deep and void of affection.
