Flashing blue lights cut through the night, illuminating the scarlet matting his blonde hair and seeping through his clothes. That morning, Wilbur had warned him that wearing a white t-shirt was a bad idea. Of course the boy ignored him.
The world spun and rocked around him like the frozen mud had turned to ocean tides rising and falling in tune with his frantic heartbeat. A paramedic was standing over him. He didn’t remember his knees giving out.

High School AU where Ranboo and Tubbo are paired up for the tropey home-ec project where you take care of one of those robotic babies. And through the pain of group projects, a friendship is born. A school play, a wedding, some mild trespassing and vandalism, and way too many indie rock songs

Wilbur almost died a week ago. He didn't, but he almost did.
He's back home living with a father he hasn't spoken to in three years. With shaky fingers, he picks up his old habits and tries to mimic the routine of the man he once was. He's trying. It's not much - he's still a shitty person trying to make up for all the wrong he did, but he is trying. For Phil. For Techno. For himself.
He was getting it together. He almost had it back together.
And then a unruly blond teenager stumbled into his store two minutes before close, and Wilbur's world fell apart.

Tommy sat still. He reached into his jacket pocket, his hand finding only a plastic pen. Could he stab this man with a plastic pen?
Tommy pulled said piece of plastic out, visibly holding it up. “I have a pen.” Something about the bemused look on the man's face made Tommy click it, and again, repeatedly.
