Summary

Despite the evident peril of the situation, Bruce let out an exhale that was something akin to a laugh.
“You don’t understand,” Bruce shook his head. “What they gave me…” he looked away from Clark, seeming to be steeling himself towards some big confession. “It’s an alteration of Scarecrow’s fear toxin, as well as a heavy component of, essentially… sex pollen.”
Clark’s face immediately went bright red, eyes widening.
So that’s what Bruce’s composure was all about.

Not really, he has no idea what Walter is ever talking about most of the time. “What?! Why? Boy, I swear, you like me better as a bird than a man. You’re always trying to get me to—”
“I don’t—I don’t like you better,” Walter slurs, rolling into his back to stubbornly stare at the ceiling. He’s wearing his apron, still, and the frills bunch around his pink face like a Shakespearean collar. “It’s not that.”
