Summary
Charlie is happy. No, thrilled. No no, elated beyond all reason. No one, and Lucifer means no one, who has to live in Hell should be bursting with as much joy and projecting a 10,000 gigawatt smile as bright as his daughter is. Even on her bad days, her positivity is terribly misplaced given the realm Lucifer and Lillith brought her into. But the energy coming off of her in nauseating waves since her mother’s return three days ago is a lot even for her. Even Vaggie is shying away from his daughter's luminescent intensity.
Lucifer knows from experience this won’t last forever.

Summary
Angelic blood is an upper like no other, far from the easy mellowness whiskey brings him. And it’s not just whatever physiological slash magical interaction between Lucifer's blood and his own body taking place; there’s the psychosexual dynamic, the power trip of Alastor, a mortal soul and once a mere human, feasting on one of the most powerful, immortal souls to ever exist, two knuckles deep in the king of all of Hell himself. Alastor’s no fool – he knows the power differential here. Lucifer may be playing helpless and weak for his own sexual gratification, but there isn’t a doubt in Alastor’s mind that he could re-summon his incontestable holy powers at the snap of a finger and tear Alastor to pieces before he could even blink. Rather than being put off by their power gap as he had been when they first met, Alastor now finds Lucifer coming to heel of his own choice far more appealing than if he had the power necessary to force the issue himself. Not that he’s ever been opposed to forcing people to give him what he wants – he’s killed for less. It’s the choice itself, the willingness to dull his powers and submit to a soul far lesser than his own, that fascinates Alastor. Intrigues him. Satisfies something deep in his gut.

Summary
Eventually, Double D slows to a stop, sitting up with his knees on either side of Eddy’s stomach as he lightly traces the path of kiss marks decorating Eddy’s heated face. His eyes are unfocused, lids hooded, body loose and face relaxed, not at all the ball of nerves he’d been since their walk home. Eddy stares up at him, never having seen this more forward side of Double D; at least, not in bed.
"Wow. Guess I should do your makeup more often."
“Have sex with me.”

Summary
They make their way to the lane, needing no light to guide them along the familiar path out of the junkyard. The night air is full of the sounds of crickets and peepers, nostalgic and familiar and fucking annoyingly loud. It doesn’t pair well with Ed’s rambling, recounting the gory details of one of his more recently read comic books to his two friends. As much of a bombardment on his senses as it is, Eddy still finds it somewhat comforting, like the way his room smells or waking up and hearing his mom listening to the same news anchors every morning. On the other hand, it makes their situation feel extra jarring, filling Eddy with unease as he watches his friend be so out of character, listless and silent as he dangles, stoned, from Ed’s sloping shoulder. Now that he thinks about it, he can’t really imagine what could have made Double D suddenly go back on the D.A.R.E. pledge he’s taken so seriously since the fifth grade, never mind why he made no attempts to limit just how much he smoked.
