The entire building smells of filth, stale chemicals, and mold. The walls are covered in dirt and peeling paint.
Mycroft isn’t surprised in the slightest that Sherlock is here. This isn't the first time he’s found his younger brother in a place like this. In truth, he can’t count how many times this has happened. He doesn’t particularly want to try.
The drug problem started when Sherlock was young, far too young in Mycroft’s opinion. And he’s been finding him in these places, in this state, since Sherlock was seventeen years old. He supposes, though, that a mind like theirs has a tendency to age you beyond your years. Mycroft knows that better than anyone else, he’s felt forty-three since he was a twelve-year-old boy.
