Obi-Wan reaches out as his nose begins to bleed. Obi-Wan’s hand finds his temple. It stings. It stings. He does not know why. Obi-Wan cups his face, and, just for a moment, a surge of recognition blooms, bright and beautiful and alien. “I know you,” he says, softly, gently. “Cody. Cody.”

It is then that Cody passes out.

There was a hole in the lake's surface which he knew from various lessons and witnessing the violent oceans of Kamino that water didn't have holes in the surface, perhaps the ground far below the surface had some that the surface didn't influence the creation of. But then again he had never been to the bottom of the ocean and couldn't say for certain that was true.
