Summary
After the events of Halo 3, Master Chief and Cortana were left behind after the rupture and splitting of the Forward Unto Dawn that left them floating aimlessly in the deep vast space, they drifted on. Eventually they were soon caught in a rip of time and space, slipping them through a crack to suddenly find themselves in a new place, that similar to Earth. Though it screams in pain as a plague washes over its surface. Their mission, contact Earth, save the people here and get home. As they traverse across strange lands, they help protect the population, fight against new enemies, for new alliances and make a few new friends along the way.
This work is HEAVILY inspired by user Skiy1k who made a Helldivers fic(that you should definitely go read, its peak) and wanted to add my own spin to it with Halo!
NOTE: This is a rewriting of the original fic that I deemed it to be rushed and filled with plot holes that bothered me so much, I decided to just rewrite it entirely.

Loki died in battle. He sacrificed himself -- quite bravely, may he add -- in a vain attempt to save his people from the Mad Titan. It was a terrible way to go out, but it will be worth it when he gets to Valhalla.
Unfortunately, this does not look like Valhalla, and, if this Princess Charlie is to be believed, getting out of Hel is going to be quite an interesting experience that he is most certainly not looking forward to.
