Tim snorted. “Oscar doesn’t go to Gotham Academy, he goes to Gotham University.”

During a mission away from Gotham, Batman and Red Robin anger a group of traffickers, who manage to catch the two vigilantes off guard, leading to their capture. The traffickers need informations from Batman and have heard about his biggest weakness, his birds.
This is a story about the aftermath, how old and new traumas mix with one another. Bruce wants to help Tim heal from his assault, but has no idea how to do it.

Summary
A quiet knock on the door – so soft, he almost thinks it had been part of a dream – pulls Jason awake. Groaning, he checks the time on his phone. Two in the morning. Another knock, barely louder than the first. He stares at the ceiling for a long moment. What the fuck could someone want at two fucking a.m.? He almost pulls the blanket over his head, ready to ignore it. Then they knock a third time. Faster. Desperate?
Cursing under his breath, Jason rolls out of bed and shuffles toward the door, pausing to grab a handgun and tucking it into his waistband, just in case. Opens the door as far as the chain will allow.
He finds Tim slumped against the door frame. He starts when the door opens, like he hadn’t expected it would. When he looks up, his eyes are hollow, face pale. His lip is split and swollen, and he’s got the makings of a black eye blooming over his right cheekbone. “Jason…” he croaks.
