His “bathing suit” was clearly not meant for swimming, so he shook the water off and lifted one of his sleeves up ever so slightly just to get the water out of it.
Oh boy, how he shouldn't have.
Because he forgot about the slashes across his wrist, how they were slightly turning red, even though he just got out of the water.
The water impact must've ruined the healing process.
But, that wasn't the part Izuku was focused on.
Well, partially.
What he was focused on-- was the pair of black eyes staring right at his wrists. Aizawa.

"midoriya?" shouta questioned, growing even more confused and worried when the boy stiffened at the sound of his own name. horrified green eyes snapped up to meet his gaze, filled with emotion shouta didn’t understand.
"w-what?" the boy breathed out, voice almost inaudible had shouta not been listening. "dad?"

Midoriya Izuku is quirkless.
That’s the lie he’s been telling since he was four years old.
In reality, he has a feline mutation quirk complete with ears, claws, a tail, and instincts his mother taught him to hate. So Izuku hides everything instead: his quirk, his bruises, his hunger, and the fact that he still flinches when people get too close.
Then he gets into U.A.
Unfortunately for him, Aizawa notices things.

When he opened the door shota saw a Midoriya on his doorstep, covered in bruises and tear marks on his face. He looked so miserable and hurt. Shota immediately looked him over trying to figure out what happened, and then midoriya spoke
“I'm sorry to bother you so late, but I didn't know who else to go to- please help me sensei”
And help he would.
Or
Izuku gets kicked out by his mom and Aizawa helps him build his life back up while he gains a loving family and finally gets a goddamn therapist.
