They’d been home for 45 minutes and Robby was relaxed on the couch, one hand slung behind himself to prop his head up as he lazily watched TV and the other buried in Dennis Whitaker’s hair. Not pushing, not pulling, just there - guiding. Occasionally, he’d ruffle the little curls or pet at the locks, but mostly he just kept them grounded together like they were one being.
