“You ready, Phoenix?” Payback asked. No reply. “Phoenix?” Fanboy worriedly asked. Her jet was going right for Iran, and she had succumbed to hypoxia. “Oh my god,” The other 2 pilots said simultaneously. “Inferno 2-1, shoot a Fox 2 at Ripper 1-1.” Payback quickly ordered. “Copy that, Fox 2!” the Sunliner replied. As the missile tracked, it hit the engines of Phoenix’s F/A-18F.
“Ripper 1-1, do you copy?” Joker 4-2 barked into the radio. Alarms blared in Phoenix’s jet. But neither her nor Bob had woken up. It was at 20 thousand feet and still heading for Iran. Joker 4-2 pointed his JHMCS at Ripper 1-1, and shouted, “Fox 2!” The AIM-9X tracked perfectly, sending Phoenix’s jet down and down. “Ripper 1-1, Wake up! WAKE UP!!!” Inferno 2-1 shouted.
