And when he looked, and saw the Demogorgon writhing mid-air, as if it was being held by some unseeable force, Mike’s first thought was Eleven. Relief washed over him, flooding his body as he thanked god that they were safe – that Will was safe.
But when it was not El, but Will, stood there, arms outstretched, face scrunched in a mixture of concentration and determination, it was not relief that Mike felt, it was complete, bone shattering awe. Absolute adoration. A feeling like no other he had ever experienced.
