Summary
After the events of the Beach Episode, Caine takes longer to reflect on his thoughts, ego, and the humans, leading to a much better outcome than Episode 8. As he begins to try his best to make the Circus a better place for those trapped inside, a new human joins the troupe, and he adapts surprisingly well, reminding everyone of Pomni. 2 months after that though, after much experimenting from Caine and Kinger, they managed to find a way for the humans to escape.
Back in the real world, each person readapts differently. But one thing they all have in common, is that they end up missing the Circus, some more than others. So, it's not an uncommon occurrence that they put the headsets back on for them to revisit in their own time, now having a much more cooperative Caine to make sure things go smoothly. Surely now there's no more struggles, right?
This is a rewrite of the original fanfic that i wrote, taking into account new lore revealed in episode 9 and with the objective of fixing inconsistencies and showcasing the different ways i've come to understand myself. Yes, i have a self insert OC, but i promise to give as much equal attention to everyone as i can.
