Summary
Grace's rules for dealing with unwanted alien enthralment:
- if u fail any of the checks, follow the rules regardless of how much you think it isn't necessary. Do so until you are safe, alone, and certain that you are no longer failing any of the checks. If there's room for doubt, you're compromised. Don't argue with me on this, future Grace.
- If you can, reach out to a trusted third party who is unlikely to have fallen to the same compulsion you have and do exactly as they say. Do not question or argue, because that's exactly what the thing that compromised you will want.
- If you can't find a trusted figure, do what you can to follow the plan on your own. Trust nobody, just focus on the next task, even if you no longer think it's a good idea.
- If you're blocked from progressing on the next task on your own, try to identify and remove whatever is blocking you.
- If you can't find the roadblock, try to find and remove the source of the mental compromise. This is the most dangerous fallback option, but the affini are apex predators and may not always leave you a safe way out. Be careful. If running will save you, then run.

After Horde Prime is defeated, there's still much left to be resolved. What to do with all his abandoned clones? What punishment does Hordak deserve for his role in Etheria's suffering? How to restore the Fright Zone to Scorpia's family and what to do with all the indoctrinated soldiers still living there? What to do about the possibility of more magic-based worlds that were converted to weapons by the First Ones - or the possibility that Horde Prime was smart enough to make a backup of his consciousness? And the most important question of all - will Catra and Adora ever be allowed some alone time to explore their newly admitted love for one another?
COMPLETE as of 2020-09-10: Written as a sort of "Season Six", this story covers the post-war fallout, a long space adventure to find and destroy Prime's backup consciousness, a slow-burn exploration of what a Hordak redemption arc might look like, and lots and lots of Catra/Adora character study, hurt/comfort, fluff, and occasionally smut. There are some violent action scenes, but no character death.

Summary
Adora dances through the strands of time programmed into the system. The first week, she jumps forward just a year or two — 2042, 2043, just before the breakup, back when they were still happy. In 2051, she sports the short, choppy haircut that was popular at the time. In 2066, it’s long, and dyed at the tips. She’s twenty two, over and over and over again, each weekend spent experiencing that age right on the cusp of adulthood as she weaves in and out of time periods, searching for Catra.
In the summer of 2044, she wanders past a sports bar and sees her own face, sweaty and breathless in an interview. Adora remembers this video — it was taken just before she received her first Olympic gold.
Adora keeps walking. There’s no way Catra would choose to be here.
________Adora has never had much interest in the Etheria program, a virtual reality simulation in which those on the verge of death and dementia can relive their glory days, dancing side by side with the consciousnesses of the deceased — but when she runs into a familiar face while visiting a dearly departed friend, she finds herself tumbling back into a romance she thought she had lost decades ago.

Catra’s expression darkens. “I know,” she says, struggling to keep her voice from trembling. “You’ll have to leave. We’ll have to be enemies again.”

Years after defeating Horde Prime, Catra and Adora inexplicably wake up in the past—on the day that Adora first found the sword. If they're going to make it back to the present, they'll have to relive their past from start to finish, pretending to be enemies despite being in love. Despite being married. Despite knowing exactly how the story ends.But it's not easy, waging war against the person you love most.

Adora gasped and jumped forward, pulling Catra away from the captain’s seat before she knocked into the panel of controls. “Idiot. I’d rather not die today.”
Catra purred at Adora’s hand on her waist, but shoved her away and kicked at Adora’s side. It was an easy block, not meant to actually hit her. “Like you would need my help accidentally killing us.”
“I’m not the one whose ass nearly became good friends with the control panel,” Adora teased, laughing.
”Up for debate.” Catra made a face. “And my ass would be a great friend.”

“Are you sure I’ve changed?”
The sun has now fully risen, its golden light completely encompassing both the gardens below them and their bodies that sway together on the balcony with Melog glued to their sides. Adora squints into its light now, momentarily watching the spots that dance in her vision. She cranes her head down to stare at Catra once more, thinking of what she had just asked.
The golden grazes Catra’s tender face, causing her to screw her eyes shut at its intensity before looking away and up at Adora - meeting her gaze and awaiting her response with obvious anticipation. Adora stares down at her, into her blue and yellow eyes that are wide and brimmed with tears. She smiles.

Catra brought her forehead to Adora's and looked into her eyes. Tears still sat on the brims and Catra placed her hands on Adora's cheeks and wiped them away.
Adora inhaled and shut her eyes before burying her face in Catra's shoulder in a hug.
"Catra..." She said, her voice muffled by the fabric of Catra's shirt. "It's you. You're here..."
"Mhm, I'm here. I'm always here. Always." Catra replied gently.
Adora sniffled and clutched Catra harder. "...Promise..?" She whispered.
