Summary
He figures out that the loop has a set time. It always begins with Lo’ak lying on his mat in the family marui the morning of the battle, and it always ends the next day as he connects to the Spirit Tree at Neteyam’s funeral.
Nothing changes, and Neteyam dies. And dies, and dies, and dies.
Is this his punishment? Is this Lo’ak’s penitence for causing his brother's death, for killing Neteyam like his dad always said he would?
“Eywa,” he begs, “what is happening to me?”
Silence answers him.or,
Neteyam can't stop dying, and Lo'ak can't stop waking up that morning to save him.

Summary
Fresh from completing his iknimaya, Lo'ak spends a night sleeping beside Tsireya, tucked into a quiet place that feels like it belongs only to them. Just warmth, shared breath. He wakes with her weight against his chest and the unsettling sense that the day is already out of order.
"You've been acting strange all morning, did you sleep badly?"
Sleep. His throat tightens. He remembers waking up to blood on his lips and the terrible certainty that something was wrong. No. That's not right. Or it is right, but it also already happened, hasn't it? Then it's happening again.
Everyone tells him there's no rush. He just has to learn why waiting matters.
OR
Lo'ak follows his day, gets a nosebleed, and time returns him to when Tsireya's resting on his chest. Except he can feel himself dying more each loop.

Summary
“Lo’ak slow down.”
Neteyam’s voice comes from behind him, already tired.“I am slow,” Lo’ak lies, darting between roots anyway. He laughs when his foot catches and he nearly eats dirt.
Neteyam grabs his arm before he can fall. Reflexive. Sure.
“Eywa,” Neteyam mutters. “You’re gonna break your neck one day.”
Lo’ak beams up at him. “You always catch me.”
