Moiraine believes herself unreadable, above scrutiny and observation. But she has known for a while now, she has seen it, felt it, the attention that always lingered too long. More than once she has caught the slip of eyes to her lips, drawn to her mouth and fixed in place. It always burned with something close to hatred, something borrowed, and greedy, and full of self-doubt. She has wanted to taste it, ever since that first glimpse.
