    "Boyd was on the floor when he walked into the loft with Cora. Water soaked the hems of his jeans as Stiles stumbled down the steps. Moonlight streamed through the window, reflecting off the water covering the loft floor, and there was Boyd. Splayed out, not moving, not breathing. There was blood on his shirt, seeping slowly into the water and staining it dark red. In the faint glow of the moon the water looked black."
