Summary
Somewhere Else isn't right, and they've never talked about what happened in the Panopticon, but so what? They're together. The Fears aren’t gone, no, but behind a curtain, subdued.
Martin actually loves the small-village life, farming and friends and found family. Jon is... managing. They're making it work.
But the universe they landed in is occupied, and its current rulers are very interested in the new kids. Entities made of Fear, attached to a damaged ex-human and his surprisingly sneaky lover? Who could resist playing with that?
Everyone has plans, and plans under those plans. What happens when a web grows too heavy to support its own weight?
"Tears and blood, blood and tears," says Kayne.
He is not wrong.
Now with FANART! Ahh! It will be posted in the final chapter, because it's spoilerific, but ahh! Thank you, Pikachic!

Summary
When Jon is killed, ending his role as ruler of his apocalyptic terror-filled world, he wakes up several years in the past. At first, he sees it as a chance to make things better. To fix them. To undo all his poor decisions and foolish, half-informed choices. To make amends, even at the cost of his own life.
Except that he can’t. If there’s one thing Jon has learned from destroying the world and ruling over it, it’s that he has never had the power to improve anyone’s life. There’s really no point in trying. Besides, in a world where dying just means waking up some random evening in 2015, why not selfishly spend some time making things better for yourself? Ignore the existential futility and grab what happiness is possible. Or spend a few lives getting petty revenge. When nothing matters, what else is there to do but whatever you want?
If only Jon were capable of being that simple.

Summary
“...Sure,” Martin replied glumly. He wondered if this is how all those french people felt, back in the days of guillotines. “Huh— How do you think I should introduce myself to this Archivist, anyway? They are going to be my boss, technically speaking, so I suppose I can at least try to make a good first impression…?”
The look Tim and Sasha shared was… Certainly something.
“I don’t think introductions will really be required,” she said, delicately.
“Right. Ok. Sure. Do you know what their name is? I ought to at least know that, right?” Martin pressed on, voice tinted by desperation. “Mr. Bouchard wouldn’t say—”
Again with the look. Martin was going to scream.
“Don’t you worry about that, bud,” Tim said with a very forced, nervous little grin. “The Archivist is just The Archivist. Just get in there and… Godspeed?”
----
Moved by desperation, Martin accepts a job he's perfectly aware is bad news, but maybe... It won't be as such for long.

Summary
I've recently been unexpectedly promoted to lead a department in my organisation, wrote the anonymous emailer.
As there was no one working here when I arrived, my manager, who is head of the organisation, had promised me the choice of my own assistants. However, without warning, he simply presented me with an additional assistant. This new assistant’s first act on his first day was to let a dog into the office. It took several hours to catch and clean up after this dog and it has only been downhill from there. I admit I'm not entirely sure what to do with this assistant now I'm stuck with him. I'm hoping you have some advice?
Kind regards,
