Her arms went around his waist, and her chin rested on his shoulder. She sighed into his arms, this was definitely what she needed today. She closed her eyes, knowing she was safe. She had to ask him something, something stupid, something she asked him before.
“I just— I can’t help wondering, If just one thing had been different, would everything be different now?” She finally got out. She didn’t know if she actually wanted an answer to that question or not.
