“Ms McKinnon and Ms Meadowes”
Who? She looked over, and it was one of Slytherin’s chasers raising her hand. At least it wasn’t anyone Marlene had a problem with. Look at her being positive. Hell might actually be freezing over.
Her partner walked over to her desk, her stride steady, posture perfect, and head held high. She was one of those types, wasn’t she? Marlene was not awake enough for this.
“Meet me at the library at six to discuss,” she said smoothly. Even her voice is perfect.
“Er, yeah sure. I can do six,” Marlene replied, hands picking at her sleeves.
The chaser nodded respectfully, then adjusted her bag on her shoulder and walked out of the classroom. Marlene watched her wade between all the students and through the door. Meadowes may have been a bit stiff, but she was cordial enough to make Marlene think maybe she’d let some of the teamwork she displayed on the pitch translate into the project. Merlin knows Marlene’s going to need all the help she can get. And really, how bad could working with a Slytherin be?

Summary
Lance held his breath. He knew, at this rate, they’d have two options: fight with what they had (which was Keith’s knife and team spirit) and hope they can skirt by with the help of the locals, or submit and become prisoners to the Galra. Neither situation was ideal. Lance looked to Keith, at his eyes and his eye lashes, the curve of his nose and the pink in his lips. He knew it was bad timing, but he really wanted to kiss Keith before whatever happened, happened.
But when Keith turned his body to face him and said, “Kiss me.” With the same amount of emotion one would say, “Hand me that stapler,” it threw Lance completely off guard.

Summary
Lance is married, for fuck’s sake, and Keith being weirdly comfortable with him is not helping at all – not in the slightest.
The light reflects on a piece of silver metal on Keith’s hand as his fingers play with Lance’s.
He zeroes in on it, his breath catching in his throat.
It’s a thin silver ring that sits nicely on his left ring finger, adorned with an even thinner golden band around it, perfectly matching, and mirroring the ring that Lance found on his bathroom counter this morning.
Oh, no way. No, no, no, no. Absolutely not.
This has to be some kind of cruel joke.
There is no way that the person he’s married to in the future is Keith.
or: Lance unwillingly takes one for the team and wakes up ten years in the future.

Summary
“Mm-what,” he mumbles, muffled into his roughed shoulder pads, words smushed together.
Keith sighs instead of answering. For half a second Lance tenses. But Keith only shifts again, not pushing Lance off but moving so Lance is pressed closer to him, and then the heat of his breath tickles the shell of Lance’s ear, and he tenses for a whole different reason.
And then there is, inexplicably, the feeling of what must be Keith’s lips, pressed to the side of Lance’s skull, gentle and lingering, and Lance thinks clearly to himself: what the fresh actual and genuine fuck.
“‘M sorry,” says Keith, so quiet it would be impossible to hear were his mouth not one single inch away from Lance’s ear. He kisses again, and he almost sags into the motion, into Lance. “I shouldn’t have been so dismissive of you earlier. I was stressed. I missed you, too.”
Lance opens his mouth. He muffles a choking sound with all of his strength.
“All good in the hood,” he finally manages, and then wants to strangle himself. “We’re — tight, Keithalicious.”
---
OR: Somebody lied to Keith, and now he thinks he and Lance are...lovers, of some kind. They are not.Lance struggles to correct him.

Summary
Shiro looks pleadingly to Hunk.
“Please translate,” he asks.
This is not unusual. Lance and Hunk frequently have to explain each other’s trains of thought to the team at large.
“Lance thinks he can see the future,” Hunk explains tiredly. “He is not a Seer. He just gets lucky, occasionally, and he’s observant. There is nothing I can do to convince him otherwise.”
“That’s because you’re wrong,” Lance says patiently. “I do so get visions. I told you about the mermaid planet when we were fifteen, remember?”
“Lance, you dreamed once about alien mermaids and the universe is so batshit insane that it ended up being true. That is not predicting the future.”
“Mhm, sure. And the fact that I knew the names of the mermaids we could trust was coincidence.”
“Exactly!”
---
OR: Lance thinks he can tell the future. That can't be right, though.

Summary
It starts like this: Lance looking up at the scoreboard only a few days into his Garrison training and muttering to himself, “What the hell kind of a name is Keith?”

Or, Keith and Lance fall in love. Eventually.
