Summary
Peter Parker's known for his entire life that things just don't work out for him. Not with an Uncle prone to violence and his apartment on the wrong side of run-down. He's made peace with that, used Spider-Man as an outlet for the hunger and bruises.
But then Tony Stark shows up, dressed in an expensive suit and carrying an internship opportunity. Peter can balance that on top of everything. He can keep a secret, he knows he can. And keeping this from Tony Stark won't be much different. Won't it?

Summary
The words "Flight Risk" are in Dorian's file. And for good reason, Dorian would assert. He's prided himself on escaping ever place he's been stuck in. Now though, now that he has a safety and love he can barely fathom, he never wants to run. It's some sort of twisted inevitability that has Dorian screwing it all up. And he can't bear to face the consequences. Not this time. He doesn't want to associate Tony with the pain of consequences.
What else is there to do but run?

Summary
Through all of Jack's life, one of the prevailing lessons was that people never stayed. No matter what they promised. So when Tony Stark promised that he was going to stay, a small part of Jack was screaming that it wouldn't last. It just wasn't how it worked.
The newspaper article gutted him. But it really shouldn't have surprised him. People like him didn't get to keep things like this.

Tony couldn’t honestly remember how long it had been like this. Probably since the day he’d called T’Challa and offered his help. At first it had just been compulsive self-denial: you can’t eat until you’ve drafted your opening remarks, until you’ve finished your research, until you’ve rewritten every last colon and comma and apostrophe in those Accords so that everyone can come home.
Those goals had been realistic. Lately, they’d become impossible. Until everyone forgives you. Until you forgive yourself. Until you make up for every bad thing you’ve ever caused.
He was fine. He was coasting in a dangerous place, but he was fine. He wasn't taking it too far - just far enough.
