Summary
Feelings are intuitive to some, but for Gaara, they were frightening at most, and foreign, at least. Gaara would describe love to be an odd combination of both; love was like a stranger who’d broken into his life, alarming, but somehow yet to harm him.
Feelings. He held these feelings for Lee, when restless nights turned to weeks, then months, until eventually it had been years of loving Rock Lee. Completely unbeknownst to him.
These feelings had grown, and grown, and continued to grow, until he’d been left with no choice but to acknowledge what they’d become. Love. Should he fight it? Should he hope that it would somehow disappear overnight?
Or was it simply too late for him? Perhaps, it was about time for him to come clean and confess?
...or, maybe, write Lee a love letter instead?

They express their emotions so openly. When it comes to feelings, I’m too cowardly to act on them,” As he finishes speaking, he watches Lee take in his words. His large eyebrows furrow, and Gaara is afraid he’s said something wrong. Instead, Lee surprises him with his next words.
“Am I allowed to not believe that?”
or, gaara still doesn't think of himself as a person and lee is here to fix that

Gaara’s eyes met Lee’s for the first time since he’d opened them. He stared, searching for something- maybe his will to fight- but didn’t seem to find what he was looking for. A grunt of anguish slipped from him, and he clawed his own head in desperation. It broke Lee’s heart.

He tried to choose his words carefully, wanting to make sure he explained it well without scaring Gaara away.
"Being friends is one thing," he explained. "Being a couple is another..."
His eyes drifted to Gaara.
"It means you want to spend time with that person and only that person. In addition to... well... wanting to... touch each other."
"When you say more things... what more do you want to do with me?"
Lee feels like his heart is going to explode. All of Gaara's innocent and sincere questions and confessions, his desire to be close... it's too sweet.
When Gaara leans in even closer, Lee feels the heat radiating from his body, and it takes a lot of effort not to reach out and touch him.
"More things...", he whispers, without taking his eyes off Gaara's face.
"More things that couples do..."
My first fanfic intent, i hope you like it!
