Touch is a complicated thing for Bucky. Sam is always touching him, whether its in the heat of battle or to offer comfort. Bucky can't puzzle it out, but he finds that he doesn't mind it. More than that, he seems to crave it. When he comes to this realization, he has to take stock of his feelings towards touch- and his feelings towards Sam.

Summary
Bucky glances up at Sam through his eyelashes. His look is soft and a little wistful, and it abruptly explains everything from the past two years. Simmering just below the surface of this look is the reason why someone like Steve would drop the shield for Bucky not once but twice, and would make that same decision over and over again if he had to.
It’s not like Sam didn’t get it before. He did. Of course he did. He’d have given everything up for Riley, would still give all of this up in a heartbeat if it meant having Riley back in his life, now more than ever. He got it before, all right.
